Advance Vehicles four-wheel counterbalanced electric forklift trucks are designed for general application used in conveying and stacking of palletized loads in warehouses, harbors, ports, airports, and for industry.

The operator's compartment is comfortable and ergonomically designed to give the operator ultimate control. All command levers are located near the operator on the dashboard. The brake and accelerator pedals are conveniently arranged like those found in most motor cars. The operators seat is spring mounted and is adjustable longitudinally depending on the weight of the operator.

The trucks are rugged and are easily adaptable to various pavement and gradient conditions.

The trucks are suitable for operation in temperature climatic zones with temperature intervals from -15° F to +105° F.

Chassis

The chassis is a welded steel structure providing the operator increased overall protection, and free access to all parts and components. The chassis construction has been tested in extreme environments and under heavy loads. The battery compartment is centrally located and in a low position providing for easy access and increased stability.

Drive Axle

A three stage reduction transmission with spur gears is combined with a differential to create a strong and powerful unit. The traction motor is a series wound, high torque unit with cooling fan. The drive motor is mounted parallel to the drive axle making for ease in maintenance and for creating the space needed for battery storage between the axles.

Steering Axle

The steering axle is a solid steel and welded structure with tapered roller bearings on the kingpins. Steering is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder with double sided piston rods. The axle is connected to the chassis by metal and rubber bushings allowing for vertical swing of 8 degrees.

Steering System

Hydraulic power steering with no separate unit for power supply. The working hydraulic system is used to power the steering by the use of the priority value which controls the flow rate required for the servo steering. The hydrostatic steering wheel has a built in safety valve, securing the system against overloading, and two anti-shock valves which protect the system against external impact on the steering wheels. Upon failure in the power supply, the steering is still actuated, even without servo steering. A pressure tap is also provided for system diagnostics. Also, the steering column is adjustable according to the operator's height and for convenience during operation.

Hydraulic System

The main hydraulic working system and hydraulic power steering system are fed by a single pump with the use of the priority valve to control fluid distribution.

The control valve is a monoblock configuration with 3 or 4 spools and a built in safety control valve to protect the truck from overloading. A flow-limiting valve is installed in the hydraulic system to provide for smooth lowering of the mast and carriage regardless of being laden or unladen with the load. Emergency valves are located on each lifting cylinder should that situation ever arise.

Lifting Equipment

Minimum energy consumption is obtained as a result of optimal design and construction of the high visibility mast. Duplex and triplex masts are available in a variety of heights and with a variety of attachments.

Electrical System

A Sevcon SC 2000 microprocessor controller with digital display is standard and features an hour meter, capacity indicator, and all diagnostics information. Optional Curtis controller also available.

Sevcon SC 2000:

  • quick and precise digital adjustment

  • improves functional parameters of the truck

  • smooth and step-less speed regulation

  • precise "inching" control during stacking or positioning

  • improves truck's reliability through a three-stage protective system

  • diagnostics provide information on failures inside and outside of the impulse controller

  • provides service information

  • possibilities for regenerative and neutral braking

  • modern communication capabilities

All electric forklift trucks are equipped with complete lighting options, including:

  • halogen headlights

  • front and rear working lights

  • parking lights

  • turn signals

  • brake lights

Built in electrical controls provide for both passive and active control of all truck parameters for normal truck operation.
