Advance Vehicles three-wheel counterbalanced electric forklift trucks are designed for general application used in conveying and stacking of palletized loads in warehouses, harbors, ports, airports, and for industry. These trucks feature microprocessor controlled independent twin drive motors. The operator's compartment is comfortable and ergonomically designed to give the operator ultimate control. All command levers are located near the operator on the dashboard. The brake and accelerator pedals are conveniently arranged like those found in most motor cars. The operators seat is spring mounted and is adjustable longitudinally depending on the weight of the operator. The trucks are rugged and are easily adaptable to various pavement and gradient conditions. The trucks are suitable for operation in temperature climatic zones with temperature intervals from -15° F to +105° F. The chassis is a welded steel structure providing the operator increased overall protection, and free access to all parts and components. The chassis construction has been tested in extreme environments and under heavy loads. The battery compartment is centrally located and in a low position providing for easy access and increased stability. By the using 2 electric motors and wheel reducing gears this 3-wheel design features an extremely tight turning radius. The transmission of power is done by a tow stage reducer, integrated spur gear, and planetary drive. Drum servo brakes are fitted to the traction motor axle which also operates as a mechanical parking brake. The steering column includes a stable welded structure with cone bearings on the knuckle axle, a hydraulic piston working cylinder, and a 4-link pivot mechanism. The steering column is also equipped with a sensor that reads the turning radius angle of the wheels and controls the rotation and direction of the electric traction motors. Hydrostatic steering unit combined with a hydraulic working cylinder ensures easy maneuverability. This configuration also reduces shock to a minimal that can be transferred from the drive wheels to the steering wheel. A single pump and electric motor is used to power all working hydraulics and hydrostatic steering. This is achieved by the use of a priority control 3 or 4 spool valve. Built in relief valves ensure reliable operation of all hydraulics during long periods of truck operation. Minimum energy consumption is obtained as a result of optimal design and construction of the high visibility mast. Duplex and triplex masts are available in a variety of heights and with a variety of attachments. Three independent braking systems assure you of a high level of reliability and safety at all times.
A Sevcon SC 2000 microprocessor controller with digital display is standard and features an hour meter, capacity indicator, and all diagnostics information. Optional Curtis controller also available. Sevcon SC 2000:
All electric forklift trucks are equipped with complete lighting options, including:
Built in electrical controls provide for both passive and active control of all truck parameters for normal truck operation. All trucks come standard with single super-elastic tires. Pneumatic tires are available as an option. |
